We seek a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of Competency Training Data Specialist.
The Competency Training Data Specialist position is part of the Training and Capability team within the Observing Systems Support & Transformation unit of the National Observing Systems & Operations (OSO) Program. To operate effectively, a moderate to complex level of skill in LMS design and maintenance are required.

Teamwork and a genuine willingness to assist and contribute to the team goals is an important attribute of this position.

Specific responsibilities of this role include, utilising LMS to transition and maintain training and competency frameworks to IT environments; automate functionality for end users to aid input and competency tracking; run data and compliance reports and create dashboards for workforce tracking and planning; facilitate systems data transfer between LMS and enterprise systems for asset management, and resource planning. This position will be a contributing member of the Training and Competency Working Group and be required to successfully transition competency frameworks into operations.

Stakeholder liaison and support is required to facilitate strong partnerships within the Bureau's Learning & Development environment and support of the OSO workforce.

As part of the Training and Capability team, undertake complex tasks in support of the National Observing Operations Program. These include: providing national network support activities such as, metadata quality control, network administration, field support, and user documentation creation and review. Identify and take action to correct deficiencies in operational procedures relating to training and competency.
